RECLAIMED & NATURAL BOARDS

Reclaimed Boards

Harvested from Midwest barns from the 1800’s, Reclaimed Hardwood or Softwood Boards will add timeless character to your project for years to come! Typical uses for boards are exterior siding, interior wall and ceiling paneling, feature walls, and commercial wall accents. Reclaimed Boards are truly works of art as no two boards are the same. Your project will be unique whether boards are used in a modern or rustic motif. Material has developed a weathered patina over time. Reclaimed siding has checking, knots, nail holes, cracks, and color variation which adds to the character.

Faded gray, brown and grey, red, chippy white, and natural brown tones are common.

Reclaimed smooth white oak is light in color and in high demand.

Reclaimed boards can be purchased processed or raw.  PROCESSED boards are kiln-dried and milled to your specifications of specie, back planning thickness, and board widths. You choose the edge profile option that includes straight cut, tongue and groove, or shiplap board edges. RAW boards are harvested from the structure, and we don’t touch the boards after dismantling. We can sell them “as is” (raw), or we are happy to offer the kiln or de-nailing options on the raw boards. We encourage adding 15-20% when working with any reclaimed boards. Most custom board orders will have a 4–6-week lead time.

Available Sizes: 5/8” or ¾” thickness – 5” to 11” widths – 4’ to 12’ lengths

Most reclaimed board options will be kiln-dried. If you elect to have them sent without the kiln process to speed up your lead time, we recommend that you spray with Bora-Care before installing. This is quick, easy, and non-toxic. Bora-Care will not change the board color as it dries quickly and clearly. Storing in a climatized area is recommended until the installation process. Bora-Care

The most important thing to remember is that we will always be here to guide you through the specification process.
