RECLAIMED & NATURAL BEAMS
Beams create character and warmth, and add interest to a rustic or modern build! Common applications are interior ceiling beams, porch columns, trusses, rafters, cased openings, headers, and more!
The Revival Projects offers a flat saw (fresh cut) on one side for an easier mount if installed after drywall. No fresh cut side is needed if installing during the framing stage. Splits, spray treatment, and power washing services are additional options offered to add value. To shorten lead time you may option to treat the beams yourself on-site before installing. We recommend a product called Bora-Care that is easy and safe to apply.

Reclaimed Hardwood Hand-Hewn Beams
A true reflection of wood artisans from the mid-1800s, the beauty and character of axe marks of these timbers is unmatched. Crafted from oak, hickory, elm, ash, and beech wood, these are the pinnacle of reclaimed building materials. You can expect great character from mortise pockets, tenon, checking, and weathering.

Reclaimed Hardwood Sawn Beams
These reclaimed beams will have a smoother clean surface than the reclaimed hand-hewn with axe marks. The reclaimed sawn beam came into existence with the first sawmills. They have circular saw marks from the blades which were run by using water or steam. They are individually unique with fewer pockets than the hand-hewn. They may have checking, natural patina from weathering, and nail holes.

Reclaimed White Oak Re-Sawn Beams
Re-sawn Reclaimed White Oak beams are premium and custom-milled to exact specified dimensions by sawing off the original patina (surface imperfections) from our reclaimed beams. This gives the beam a smoother, more modern, and refined surface that will be more squared up. These beams can still have mortise pockets and will still have good character in sound checking and nail holes.

Natural White Oak Hand-Hewn Beams
Character-aged white oak timbers, hewned by hand just like past generations. The axe and adze marks give the beams a natural, rustic look that is typically desired when using these building components. These are naturally aged and structurally rated to meet engineering demands. They will have no mortise pockets, tenon, or bug tracks like reclaimed beams do. White oak timbers are the ultimate building component, both structurally and aesthetically. These are a great option for pergolas, porches, pavilions, or event venues.

Natural White Oak Sawn Timbers
Rough-sawn timbers from white oak trees offer a refined look, strength, and beauty! A much smoother texture than hand-hewn, these pieces are a great option for porch beams to structural house timbers. They will have no mortise pockets, tenon, or bug tracks like reclaimed beams do. They are structurally rated to meet engineering demands. These oak timbers weather gracefully and will provide years of enjoyment. These can be easily stained to your desired look. In addition, these are an excellent choice for landscape retaining walls, benches, and gable trusses.
We can add circle saw marks to these beams to add texture if you choose.
